Woot. My wife’s name has finally been changed by social security. Now we can move forward in earnest closing up all the loose ties that come with getting married. Insurance, Banks, DMV, Passport, etc. Good stuff.
This would have been solved weeks ago if the social security paperwork had said to sign the form with her new name rather than her old. They kicked the paperwork back to us and took an additional 3-4 weeks before it returned, so around 2 months of waiting.
I’m just glad to be able to call her Ms. Ciordia.
