How has your dell mini 10v been been treating you as of now? Have you gotten used to the trackpad? Are there any minuses now that you've been using the 10v for a longer amount of time? Is it still as super awesome as it was when you hackintosh'd it? I currently have a Mac Mini and a Dell Inspiron 710m, and am looking to replace both with the 13-inch MBP or the 710m with the 10v. I'm doing as much research as I can before I decide, so your input would be great!

I really do still love it. It's the perfect window into the world I need when I'm on the go. We just got back from Alaska and it was an iPhoto dump drive and a web portal. It can run Aperature if you need to tether--but I wouldn't try being productive with post-processing. If you have a relatively light load you need to execute while on the go and don't want to deal with the rest of the offerings it's worth the 4-5 hours to do this. The only other thing I have been told is if you don't mind the weight, just get a older refurbed or ebay'd iBook since the power offering is similiar and a bit less work. ;) I enjoy this thing being so tiny and easy. iPad v2 or v3 will be it's downfall, but that's cool with me. :D

Thanks for this update on your Dell hackintosh. I would wager you are still in safe territory considering the next iPad release is quite some time away, and I'm not convinced it is as great a tool as a small netbook like this.

The real question is what level of development? If you're going to try running Titanium I wouldn't. If you're going to be doing intense java frameworks, I wouldn't. If you're going to use textmate and have your builds on your server, this is excellent. ;)

Hi I'm thinking about getting this computer to design iphone apps. I was wondering if this is possible with hackintosh, and if it would be a much better idea just to get a cheap used mac. Thanks for your time.

It is very stable. The only caveat I've run into so far is trying to hook it up to a projector. It likes to be booted with the projector/vga already connected or you get a very bizzare screen.

Otherwise I have had no issues, no crashing, nothing to complain about.

Cool, thanks for reviewing Hackintosh on Dell Mini 10v. I plan to do so. Do you recommend it?

Does it crash? Do I need to worry that I could lose my data on any single day(If i hackintosh and the computer does not start)? Does that happen? Is it Stable? Thanks a lot!

Do reply on my mail id.
