I am so glad I found this. While perusing through [TED](http://tedblog.typepad.com/tedblog/#)blog I saw that they had a Feb. 03 recording of [Wade Davis](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wade_Davis)’ biosphere / ethnosphere talk. I had the pleasure of seeing him give this talk at the 2006 [SCAA](http://www.scaa.org). Since we saw him I have tried countless times to explain the talk I witnessed, to express how it gave me the most profound goose-flesh, and the inspiration it left me with. Each time though I understood that my words were not going to be enough to convey what I had seen.
It strengthened my belief in a [humanist philosophy](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanistic_psychology). I cheer in the power that is our spirit and cry in our ease of destructive capability. I hope you will spend some time watching this, reflect upon it, and share it as well.
